Available in frame sizes NEMA 08, 11, 14, 17, 23 and 34, Anaheim Automation Hybrid Stepper Motor Linear Actuators are self-contained stepper motor-based packages with long shielded ball bearings, offered with various nut options, several motor windings, and multiple lead screw pitch options. AW series actuators offer both Non-Captive and External Linear options, while A series actuators are only available as Non-Captive options.
With a Non-Captive actuator, when the stepper motor is fixed, the lead screw will travel; by contrast, when the lead screw is fixed, the stepper motor will travel. With the External Linear option, the screw is fixed to the motor, and the nut will travel along the screw. The AW series provides the option of selecting the length and pitch of the lead screw, while the standard 23A and 34A series come with 6, 12, and 18-inch lead screws, respectively. For Non-Captive, when the motor is fixed and the lead screw is restricted from rotating, the lead screw will travel; by contrast, when the lead screw is fixed and the motor is restricted from rotating, the motor will travel. The External Linear models have a fixed motor with a turning lead screw. The 08AW series offers a 3.9 Voltage and Current of a 1/2 amp. The standard 08AW series comes with the option of a 6, 12, or 18 inch lead screw, offered in 2 different leads and pitches. All lead screws have a 9/64" diameter. The 23A Series are offered in several voltages and inductance ratings, capable of 40 - 100 pounds of force. The standard 23A series comes with a 6-inch lead screw, offered in three different lead screw pitches, as standard. Other lead screw lengths are available. The 23A series has six flying leads, 12 inches long.
