The stepper motor internally converts rotary motion to linear motion via a rotating nut and a leadscrew, eliminating the need for other rotary-to-linear conversions such as belts and pulleys, rack and pinions, or external ball screws, simplifying application designs and lowering overall production costs. These Stepper Actuators come standard in either a 4-lead or 6-lead configuration (model dependent).
