Product Information

The ENC-S4T is a Miniature Optical Shaft Encoder designed for non-contacting rotary to digital converter. The ENC-S4T has a shaft diameter of 0.125" to 0.250". With the Encoder attached to the shaft, the Encoder provides digital feedback control by using the Encoder module that's designed to detect the rotary position with a code wheel. This differential encoder consists of an LED source lens, monolithic photo detector, and mylar disk enclosed in a small polymer package. These modules implement phased array detector technology providing superior performance and tolerances over traditional aperture mask type encoders. The ENC-S4T series provides digital quadrature outputs on all resolutions and are capable of sinking or sourcing 8 mA each. These Encoders are powered from a single +5VDC power supply and are RoHS compliant and REACH certified.
