CPC Linear Guides
CPC Miniatrue Linear Guides
TBI Linear Guides

Select from our two diverse lines:

CPC Linear Guides - With widths ranging from 3mm to 55mm, CPC Linear Rails are capable of handling dynamic loads up to 7,350 lbs and static loads up to 13,240 lbs. CPC Blocks are offered in a variety of end-seal options and pre-load classes, providing a cost-effective solution to virtually any Linear Guide requirement.

TBI Linear Guides - These Linear Guides are ideal for rugged applications requiring high precision. Available in widths ranging from 15mm to 65mm, TBI Linear Rails can tolerate dynamic loads up to 61,500 lbs and static loads up to 94,200 lbs. TBI Blocks are available with a variety of end-seal options and pre-load classes, delivering the quality performance and versatility your application requires.

Note: All rails are stocked in lengths of up to 4 meters and are available in a range of standard pre-cut lengths. Rails can also be cut in-house to a custom length based on your specifications.

Linear Guides FAQs

What are linear guides?
Linear guides are mechanical devices which allow for single-dimension motion, allowing them to accurately position objects along a single axis. Linear bearings, or "blocks," slide quickly and smoothly along the linear rail with minimal friction.
What data is required to spec out linear guides?
To determine the right linear guide(s) for your application, you will need to determine the following:

Rails: length, width, and load

Blocks: type, length, end-seal type, and preload accuracy
How does friction affect linear guide performance?
Power consumption, operating temperature, and overall efficiency of a linear guide system will all be affected by two types of friction: static and dynamic. The frictional resistance of a linear guide changes depending on the type, load, speed, lubricant used, etc. The primary reason linear guides are lubricated is to avoid metal-on-metal contact and thereby to reduce friction.
What is the purpose of preload in linear guides?
The primary purpose of preload in linear guides is to reduce elastic deformation caused by the weight of the load. This, in turn, increases the rigidity of linear guides by applying stress in advance to the contact area between the railways and rolling elements. While some linear guide applications will not require a preload, it is generally preferred regardless because it also eliminates internal clearance (zero backlash) and increases rigidity. Typical preload options include standard, light, or heavy preload.
