The 08AW are NEMA size 08, External Linear or Non-Captive Linear Actuators. They are high quality, self contained packages made with long-life shielded ball bearings. In Non-Captive models, when the motor is fixed and the lead screw is restricted from rotating, the lead screw will travel; by contrast, when the lead screw is fixed and the motor is restricted from rotating, the motor will travel. The External Linear models have a fixed motor with a turning lead screw. The 08AW series offers a 2.5 V Bipolar RMS Voltage and Current of a 1/2 Amp. The standard 08AW series comes with the option of a 6 or 12 inch lead screw, offered in three different leads and pitches. All lead screws have a 3.5mm diameter. Lead screws (thru or fixed) are available with custom journal end machining to customer drawing requirements.
