These stepping motors meet International Protection Rating requirements indicating that they are sealed against the ingress of dust as well as low-pressure water jets from any direction and are commonly referred to as "splash-proof." Sealed shafts offer further protection, allowing for longer life cycles.

These stepper motors are available in NEMA frame sizes 17 to 42, the smallest 17L series beginning with 38 oz-in of torque to the largest 42K65 series with up to 5,700 oz-in of torque. These motors are an excellent choice for applications with washdown requirements, as well as those located in dusty or debris-filled environments.
