Pre-Installation

  • Installation, disassembly, and maintenance must be performed by trained technicians.
  • WARNING: Gearboxes become hot during operation - avoid contact with the unit until it has properly cooled.
  • Ensure that power is not applied until installation is complete. Do not touch any rotating components when the gearbox is in operation. Keep the area clean and free of debris.
  • Handle the gearbox with care during installation - damage to the unit may decrease accuracy.
  • Do not disassemble or modify the gearbox - doing so will void the warranty.
  • Synthetic lubricant is sealed within the gearbox - there is no need to add to or change the lubricant.

Installation Environment

Adhere to the following guidelines to prevent non-warranty damage.

  • Rated operating temperature -10°C to 90°C (14°F to 194°F)
  • Maximum altitude of the application environment must not exceed 1,000m above sea level.
  • Minimize environmental vibration to preserve unit accuracy and life expectancy.
  • Avoid use in environments where flammable and/or corrosive gasses are present.
  • Maximum humidity in the application environment must not exceed 85% to prevent condensation from entering the unit.
  • Avoid operating the gearbox in environments with an accumulation of dust, debris, liquids, or oils.
  • Make certain the application environment is well-ventilated.
